Why do you call it a ram strike ? Is it not just a slightly off center strike ? I know there is someone in the US that made up the term ram strike , I'm not sure why .

Short answer is no. Your software is showing flatness where the shadows fall wert. The coin was photographed with light on an angle, towards the camera.

Gotcha SPP...I am thinking the shadow effect is something else, when it is not.....Hey, the human eye IS better than any SPM software..
