Does anyone know a site that lists how many coins are in each series? I counted through my folders and I got some approximate numbers, but I wanted to know if there was a way to confirm my counts (lost count a few times ). Anyways, here's what I got:

Nickels (Monticello + Westward Journey) = 168
Halves (Kennedy - Clad) = 56
Dimes (Clad) = 93
Pennies (Wheat) = 140
(Memorial + Shield) = 123
Quarters (Clad up to '98) = 63
(Statehood) = 112.... this one is for sure :P

I'm just looking into new ways of storing my coins and the numbers could play a factor in my decision.

Actually there are only 50 States and therefor only 200 different State Quarters: 1 P Mint Mark 1 D Mint Mark and 2 S Mint Marks 1 clad and 1 Silver and there are 4 years of Satin Finish 2005-2008 (which could add another 40 Coins if you wanted it to)

The 2009 are Territories and are not part of the State Quarter Set even though many people have included them.

It appears your not counting proofs, are you only considering business strikes/circulated coins?

For storage purposes I count the territories with the states.

Fuzzy: I'm only doing circulated/business strikes. Hmmm... the folders I use only list separate varieties for the 1982 coins. Could that be the difference?

Then I don't know what the discrepancy is. I counted 164 and 165 this time

my numbers match your numbers on both quarter counts, nickels, dimes

I have
LWC (including 1922 no D) = 141
Memorial + Shield = 126
kennedy clad half = 88

not sure where I go my 288 for Lincoln cents. Looks like should be 267, which includes 1960 and 1970 large and small dates

Why not just purchase a Red Book and count them?

Or you can create an Excel file and list all of them. That way you won't forget any and you can include just want you want to collect?

I think this is the best way to know the correct number of any of these series

I must concur, the Red Book is an essential tool when it comes to coins in my opinion.
