Probably already mentioned on here since this note was out in January (what I was told anyway) But does anyone have one ? I've been asking around banks with no luck.

From I have read, they are still at The BEP...I saw pallets of them at The Dallas BEP earlier this year (Spring Break).

Is Obama's Head on it?
"In Obama we trust" ? On a serious "note" I am curious to see what it will be, I'm guessing it will be paper note still?

I'd like to see what the bills really look like and read what is on them. It makes no sense that they would keep printing these and stack them on pallets in storage. Every other piece of U.S. currency has been released within a couple months of announcing a new design. They say they are having printing problems, yet they keep printing them. They have not showing anywhere in the media what these major printing issues look like. I doubt very much the public is not being told the truth about these notes.

It maybe a case of "are they really printing money at all?" That design looks ok but very outdated, better then the all seeing eye

Quote: I doubt very much the public is not being told the truth about these notes. The public has not and never will be told the truth... about anything. They, like every other government on the planet tell you what they want you to know as long as it helps them with their agenda. It's just one of those facts of life that has always been and will always be. On the subject of the new hundreds, I don't know that a new release date has been set yet.

Some nice videos on it: http://www.newmoney.gov/newmoney/default.aspxThey said they will have at least a 6 month time frame from the announcement date to the release date, before being released. And they are still having problems with sporadic creasing, when being printed.

I guess I got my answer then. Thanks. Oil of O'lay will get the wrinkles out of them.

BEP is not releasing these notes for some peculiar reason . We may not hear anything for a while. I wonder what this has already costs WE THE PEOPLE .

Well, if we were still on the gold standard then about 1.1 billion dollars. No problem here though. The feds can do anything they like. What's a few tons of paper and ink anyway ? Chump change. Interesting, the U.S. mint runs on it's own but the BEP uses our tax dollars to operate.

But doesn't the BEP charge the FR the full face value for the notes it prints? I think it gets most, if not all, of its income that way?

Someone will need to clarify, but I do not think that the rules for seigniorage earned by the mint apply to the BEP. This is because they have to buy back, at full value, worn notes returned to it. I think the only time the BEP sees a profit from seigniorage is when the money supply is increased. There was a post about this a while back. If I find it, I will link to it.
