I'm afraid we're really going to need more information, either a couple of pictures or a fuller description, to be able to tell you anything useful. Bavaria didn't make "half pennies".

And we can't be of much help giving a value without pictures, either, since a coin's value is greatly determined by its condition.

Though the pictures aren't clear enough to read the text, I suspect you are correct, and it's a "toy coin".

My camera is poor quality lol sorry. The inscription reads 'bavarien spielmark' on the head side and 'one half penny' on the reverse. sorry again for my ignorance. are these 'toy coins' of value in anyway? thank you again for your help.

Yep, it is indeed a toy coin. "Spielmarke" is German for "play money" or "game token" - modern casino chips are also called "Spielmarken" in German. Such objects were made in considerable quantity in Germany prior to WWI and exported to Britain for sale as play money.

Toy coins are collectable in their own right, though the market for them is smaller than the "normal" coin market. There's even a catalogue for them, though at 150 pounds the book is worth considerably more than most of the objects illustrated in it. The tiny print run of the catalogue (150 copies) shows just how small is the number of collectors that seriously collect them.

I'm afraid I don't own a copy of this catalogue (though I'm considering getting one), so I can't give you a book value. I do own a couple of 19th century German-made spielmarken, but they were all given to me as gifts by other coin collectors, so I can't even tell you what I paid for them. I seem to recall local dealers here in Australia offering them for $5 to $10 each.
