Hello,

I seem to be having a bit of trouble identifying this coin.

Please send your thoughts on ID, variety, and grade etc.

Thanks,
mdpmedia

Don't know about the variety, but it's a well-worn Half Dime with obverse damage. The obverse probably scrapes a G-4 grade for wear while the reverse barely earns an AG-3. Given the serious gouges on the obverse I would value the coin at no better than AG money, maybe $10 or so.

I don't have my references here but I will try to remember to check out the variety tomorrow when I'm at the shop.

Conder,

Can you please elaborate upon the significance of LM-1 in terms any increased value over and above the previously stated approximate $ 10 retail price value of this rough Bust coin.

Also where would be the optimal site one could go to on-line to research the type of info. I am currently inquiring about?

Thank you much,
mdpmedia

The LM-1 is an R-2 coin so it is rather common and would have no extra value over tyoe coin money. I don't know of any website that has information for identifying Bust Half Dime varieties. I have the standard reference in my library.
