I just got this nickel from a bag of change from a bar, I was wondering if this is man made or a real error , any clues from anyone or any input is appreciated

Hi Zander

the pics are too small to tell for sure ,but part of the rim looks like it was ground off,, can you post a bigger pic ?

Hi Zander,

Welcome to the forum. Larger pictures would help alot. I agree with Metalman, it looks like the rim was ground off.

Zander best I can tell the nickel is not struck offcenter,, all of the design detail are within the rim, or at least where the rim is visable.

there will be others along through the day ,, we will get other opinions !

I do not do messenger. Sorry.

I noticed you said from a bar. A friend of mine works in a bar and is always handing me coins he finds on the floor there. Most look like that. Something about a bar that accumulates horrible looking money.
