I just purchased a 1967 canadian proof set with the flying goose and the whole set looks pretty cool. My question is how much silver does one proof set contain? Edited by Brian34Jersey 06/30/2012 1:28 pm

The dollar contains 0.6 oz of silver and the half 0.3 oz. The quarter either has 0.15 or 0.09 oz of silver where the dime 0.06 or 0.04. So you are looking at 1.03 to 1.11 oz of actual silver weight.

Brian34Jersey, They are nice sets - but it depends which one you got - some have a medallion in, too.
Can you tell us what coins are included, please ?

All of the numismatic sets of 1967 have .800 fine coins in them and the Medal is sterling in the red box specimen set.

Now I remember seeing that all sets have 80% silver content but cannot recall the sources.

I use 1.1 troy oz for the sets prior to 1968. As previously mentioned, the 1967 sets are all 0.800 coins.
