Does anyone here collect the U.S. Mint cooperative issues of new commerative products commonly known as "coin & currency", "coin & stamps" and more lately special issues in conjunction with The Money Store?
I have been following them, mostly on ebay and APMEX. They are very slick mostly dealing with history. Great souvenir inclusions (Louis & Clark). They are typically limited to 50,000 issues per coin. The prices are going up. I think they were considered give-sways or incentives. I would be most interested in every one's opinion and share information with fellow collectors.
It would also nice if we could establish a standard name for these issues.

Is this post really an advertisement to solicit for loan services?

Not at all. I don't loan money.
I thought this was supposed to be a friendly and cordial place. I made my statements with all sincerity.

I think by saying the money store, you mean the money factory? If so, that is the BEP. Kind of a strange name to pick for their web site though.

I have bought a few of their special notes and they usually hold their value or go up, like these:

I apologize. Your reference to "The Money Store" -- a loan company -- along with your reference to "giveaways or incentives" tweaked my "radar" for some reason and made me question the post. CCF is, in fact, a friendly forum and there is a wealth of information available from its many fine members. I hope you enjoy your time here.

As a collector of both the classic and modern series of US commemoratives, I tend to be an active collector of items related to the coins. The relation can be a medal issued for the same occasion, associated stamps and philatelic-numismatic covers (PNCs), and sometimes coin sets that include US currency. I have made quite a few coin posts here that have included images of related ephemera, please check them out and let me know if you have any questions.

I believe I have all of the various special collector sets (i.e., Young Collector, Coin and Stamp, Coin and Medal) issued by the US Mint for the modern commemorative series. I've posted info on a few, and plan to post about additional sets in the future.

My mistake! It is the "MoneyFactory" the website name for the Bureau of Printing and Engraving.

Thank you all. As these coins which are incorporated with stamps, currency or historical background are a valid subdivision of the larger family (hobo nickles, etc), I hope more people will appreciate them and begin collecting them. They are, for the most part, quite well done.
