Just received email confirmation that my UNC Eagle Subscription will be filled in approximately 3 weeks. Price is at $45.95. Looking forward to it though!

I got my notification today too. My first thought was "Man, when is this year going to be over for the mint?" Seems like I have bought more set pieces this year than ever before. It's getting expensive. The wife is pretty good about me getting all the year updates and sets from the mint, but this year is straining her good nature about it.

Silver prices aren't helping either. When I started buying all the mint stuff years ago, updating all the sets (mint, proofs, ASEs, etc...) was under 100 bux. Now it's just crazy...

Got my notice too. Five coins won't make the $300 for the free upgrade and since it is a subscription order, I probably can't add to it. Last year (September), the coins were $60.45 when the subscriptions were processed so I just got the shipping upgrade (next day then). I guess that I can stand to wait a week to get the coins considering they are $75 cheaper. My subscription was started on August 14, 2007, which I think was very close to the start of the subscription offering. For subscriptions, the FIFO order is based on the date when the subscription was placed. That is why I have not combined my proof subscriptions (a 1 piece order and a 4 piece order), because doing so would put me back at the end of the subscription line, just before the regular orders. As it is, my one piece subscription ships well ahead of the four piece one). The single dates to 2004 and the four piece to 2010. This year, they shipped 4 days apart and arrived 6 days apart.

That seems a little high being almost 20 dollars over melt. Wasnt that what they were selling for 3 months ago when silver was higher or did they knock 5 bucks off?

...and as clairhardesty pointed out Quote: Last year (September), the coins were $60.45 when the subscriptions were processed when silver was $42/ounce That would have been $18 over spot ...and the 2012's are priced at....just about $18 over spot

I got the same email as well. They are still selling the 2011-W UNC, and no menton as to weather there will be a 2012-S UNC coin? Anyone heard anything?

There is no S-unc 2012 dated ASE offered this year. The Mint had talked about it, had they offered it, it would have been a natural fit as a third coin with the 2-coin SF proof ASE set. As it is, there were 5 different ASEs issued for 2011 and 5 different ASEs issued for 2012, so it's a win-win for the Mint and for collectors with just the right amount of coins. I wonder what's on the horizon for the ASE in 2013?

Quote:I wonder what's on the horizon for the ASE in 2013? They're probably chasing the rattlers out of the Carson City Mint so they can rev up operations....

And maybe the New Orleans Mint? I can see it now... box set of one ASE from each of the W, P, S, CC, and O mints... Maybe throw a D in there for good measure.

I can see a Denver minted coin especially with the draw of the San Fransisco minted issues.
