Researching my recent find, a 67 missing SD 2 cent, I found this article ... http://www.aussiecoincollecting.com...lecting.html

Is it really true that this coin is a rare find?

Hi Silvernut,Yes they are as rare as rocking horse poop & even though it is fairly well circulated it's still worth a bit.

A member here recently ebay'ed one and I think he got $7.88 for it. I have a couple here that I pulled out of my lot of 2c coins. I also have some faint strike 2c coins that came out the same lot.

I have quite a few of the no SD coins and have sold a few before. I got $10 each and they were very well circulated like yours.

The 1967 No SD is super rare in higher grades. Lower grades, though rare enough are quite commonly available on ebay

There seems to be a bit of a resurgence on this coin because a couple of years back you could pick one up for 3-4 dollars

The one to look out for is the 1968 No SD which is super rare in any grade

You may also want to check 1966 + 1981 for No SD as this also appears on these dates
I have also read but never seen a 1974 No SD
