Ok, so after collecting so much junk silver over the past few months, I've decided to put together the set of dimes together. Now as far as I can tell, they are straight years and only 2 varieties of 3 years. Now does anyone have a link or can post the varieties or key years and their reasonable values so I know what is a fair price to pay? That's a good starting point for me and then I will decide if its worth more or less to me. I don't really have any info on dimes from 1858 to 1909. From there I know what I'm getting composition wise and mintage wise. Just the keys and varieties I'm missing. I'm not really into coin collecting as I am into silver stacking, so at this point, buying a book doesn't exactly make sense to me. Hope someone has a link or can just post. I will check them all out. Research time! Thanks, Cheers!

The 1858 10 cent has 3 varieties alone. 1558/1858, 5/5 and marker. then the 1870 has 4 or 5.

Hi samsnate, I put together a set of dimes a while ago, I did them from 1902 to 1967 with only the 3 varieties, 1909 and 1913, of course the 1947.

I ended up with a complete set with the 1951 and 1951 DD, I lucked out on that one bought it for a 1951 and it ended up a doubled die.

almost forgot, got the 2 1953s too.

I presume you meant 1858?

I thought the Victoria coins where going to be too hard to find to try and finish a set, so I started with Edward V11.

I have a few Victoria ones but, it was easier finishing the set from 1902-1967, actually I finished the set to date.
