It depends on what original grade you thing the coin would be. What grade would NGC have given if the damage wasn't there? NGC probably would have graded it VF35-XF45...then again I'm not into third party grading. I would be droping the grade that you were expecting it to come back (i.e as if it had been cleaned). I had one a long time ago & sold it on ebay, quite a popular token.

It's worth noting that a new price guide for Australian & New Zealand Tokens is imminent and will certainly help in pricing them. It's coming from Renniks and is due out in the next month or so.

From Renniks Australian Coin & Banknote Values (2002) which had quite a comprehensive guide to tokens, depending on which of the 10 types of R:PARKER coins (six are listed with colon ':'). Prices for Fine back in 2002 were between $35 & $100 (average of $51.50 amongst the 10) & VF's were $100 to $250 (ave of 10 was $122.50). Then again...book price, so divide it by three. But who knows exactly what Renniks' new guide will show. I hope that doesn't get you too disgruntled. Then again, I'm a big believer of removing the partially ruined coins out of the collection, because they will always be looked upon as being damaged (or environmentally damaged as they put it so politely).
