Here's another Urgent email I received after the first one. Quote: Dear Valued Goldmart.com Customer,
Currently we are experiencing technical difficulties as our live price feed is off. The company providing our live price feed went out of business on Tuesday and we are scrambling to find a replacement by the end of the week. If you want to place an order, all orders will have to manually be made over the phone until we can provide an accurate live price feed. In the mean time we will be using the Kitco.com Ask price. Sorry about the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Goldmart.com

Beware! I have been doing a lot of research on the collapse of peregrine financial and pfgbest last week. It looks like some of the smaller PM dealers like gold mart were not only using these guys for their spot feed, but also using them to hedge there inventory and supply them with the physical coins. In the email the goldmart sent out it does confirm that this is the reason why their spot prices are not working and all there coins are call for pricing. it think its very possible goldmart has lossed at lot of capital and product and this is why they are not returning phone caslls. I would be very concerned if you have any outstanding orders or new orders because this dealer might be in a lot of trouble

The current BBB rating is B+ for Goldmart.
I am a little skeptical in regards to Goldmart moving to a new location and not have their technical setup done in advance, normal business operation will never accept such a long delay. I admit that buyers should wait and see where Goldmart business position stands before placing any order.

What are the odds that Goldmart is moving offices and all their equipment fails the same exact time and day that PFGBEST goes bust..... I am not a in any way conspiracy theorist in any way but this seems like way to coincidental. It looks like 215 million is missing and none of the money was insured. also I agree with the previous post that any operation especially when you are dealing with the highly volatile metals market would already have the tech online in the new location... sounds like a cover up

Quote: I admit that buyers should wait and see where Goldmart business position stands before placing any order. I understand the idea here and would think the very same thing if I was considering ordering from GoldMart. OTOH, if everyone does this it WILL become a self-fulfilling prophecy. :-/

We'll see what happens with my order, I willbe updating. I know we've opened new branch locations with our credit union and verizon, comcast etc etc can really botch setups for days on end so I don''t rule out technical difficulties

I don't and I'm starting to get concerned, no update to my account, still saying processing. I've called 1x today, got voicemail, going to keep calling today till I get someone. If they can't fulfill the order that's fine but they need to wire my money back to me so I can place it somewhere. I wired the money last Tuesday 7/10, I should have some sort of update, it's just bad business. Amazon / ebay are never this slow w/ updates.

I just got my order I placed on the 20th of June. I paid with a check as I always do with them which adds a week or so but I can wait.
My order came from CC Nevada so the most must have already taken place.
Goldmart is by far the best online retailer in the G&S game, you can trust them.

Hartag12,
I would give it a few more days as your order is less than ten days, I wouldn't worry until another ten days with no update to your order.

I really have no choice but to wait but still, it's a wire, they had the money w/ in hours, why it would take a business 14 days to put a few coins in a box, or update an order to show payment received is really no excuse, it's just bad business, especially when you have a website that has essentially been down for 10+ days and no one answers the phone. I waited based on the website stating the # of days it takes for a wire so now I'm inquiring.

I placed an order back on 6/25, sent a check by mail, and I'm still waiting. I called Goldmart yesterday and got a hold of someone but they told me they would call me back which of course they did not. I don't know if they are going to ship or not but I definitely would not order from them again. Today they don't even answer the phone so all I can do is leave a voicemail.

I would consider filing a compliant with the BBB if the order arrived too late, most normal orders shouldn't take more than 20-25 days from date of check received.* (5-7 days for check to clear)*
If you used a CC or wired, order should be shipped within 3 business days and get to the customer between 3-4 days max.
I like AMPEX with their service, but you pay more!
