i had a good look at my 2004 ram proof set after seeing one on ebay that had the poiny a on the 20 cent. My proof set had pointy a on the 20 & 50 cents so I put it aside and bought another set to replace it. This new purchase also had pointy a on the 20 & 50. Am I lucky or did all of the proof sets have the pointy a? Anyone know?

McDonalds notes regarding the proof sets that "approximately 50% of the 20c and 50c coins are "large Head" types".

Perhaps more importantly with the 2004 set is to check that the holographic $1 and nearby surrounding coins have not suffered chemical damage.

The majority of sets I've seen have pointy 'A' 20c whereas it is 50/50 with pointy 'A' 50c

I'd say from the sets I've seen flat-top 'A' 20c proof is rarer than pointy 'A' 20c proof

The MINT set can contain pointy A's in both 50c & 20c. I had one set, which had only the 20c Pointy (which was advertised as Pointy (dodgy sellers) so I sold it & got one with both pointy's.

I thought all the proof sets had pointy A's. I've just had a look at my proof set & both are flat.
