Just accquired this nice copper coin. Don't think I would come across one this nice - bought this as a fluke but I figured it can't be that common.

Chocolate-Copper---Ceylon-1870-5-Cent

Just saw a range of them on ebay and they didn't look this nice. Weighing at 18.82g

This beautiful colouring seems to be a feature of some Ceylon coins. On another forum a member had to be dissuaded from dipping a Ceylon 5 cent because it was so good that he was certain that it had been lacquered.

The copper 5 Cents of Ceylon can be quite pricey in uncirculated.
Your coin, which is in nearly EF condition, is nicer than my example.
