This is a very pretty coin and you are correct it does look like an Augustus coin. Possibly from Spain, perhaps Italica. But so far I have not found anything like it. If the coin weighs in the vicinity of 6.7g, it may be like the coin referenced at this link: http://moneda-hispanica.com/latinas6.htm. Once on this site go to the coins from Italica. A like coin is pictured as the second coin: AS 27 AC - 14 DC 6'70 g. AB1243 Anverso: Cabeza de Octavio a izquierda. Alrededor PERM.CAES.AVG. Reverso: MVNIC. Loba amamantando a RÃ³mulo y Remo a derecha. Encima MVNIC. Debajo ITALIC en exergo. Translation: 27 BC - 14 AD 6 70 g. AB1243 Obverse : Head of Octavian to left. About PERM.CAES.AVG. Reverse : MVNIC.
