I have a number of silver quarters (66, They are a friends) plus a set of 1932-1964 (missing 4) the two keys1932D&S are in the set. Looking at pictures from members on grades and "Grading Coins by Photographs" by Q. David Bowers and other information. The coins range from Good to About Good IMHO. My question is, seems to be a fine line between these two grades. I have not seen many coins posted as "About Good", is this grade still used?
Granted the two keys are worth more.
I know, we want pictures! Still working on that and scans.

I pretty sure about good was never a grade. Some companies pre grade coins ( which aren't official grades) and sell them like about good, average circulated ect.

Yes, About Good(AG-3) is an official grade on the Sheldon Scale. It is still used but only for coins that actually have numismatic value at that grade level, many silver coins are only worth spot in AG-3. The only Washingtons with a premium at AG-3 are the 32D and 32S key dates.
