Hey everyone, I live in the Jacksonville area and have been looking around for a reputable and fair dealer in the area. I've only visited one shop so far and was disappointed by the selection and service.
If you live in the area and know of a great shop please tell me. I'm hoping there is something good in the Southside, beaches, or Arlington area. But for a great selection and even better service I am willing to go further.

I know nothing about coin shops in Florida but there are some really large coin shows there. I would suggest going to coin shows and asking dealers there about coin stores. My experience with coin show dealers is many do have coin stores.

Only one I have dealt with was Gainesville Coins located in Lutz FL. Not sure how far that would be from you. These guys have good prices and good service.

I've only been to one coin show here in town and the only other shows I hear about are the FUN shows in Orlando which is 2 hours away from me. I think for a large enough show Daytona or St Augustine may be as far as I really want to go (about 45 and 30 minutes south of me respectively)
Gainesville/Lutz is over an hour away for me so that's a bit far for a shop.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Yep, I'm a two day drive from them but still buy their coins on line.

They only have bullion online but that's okay because I needed that 2011 Australian koala lol. Threw in two 90% halves too for good measure in hopes of getting my first WLH lol should have added a note about that to the order. Oh well silver is silver and I'm sure they are probably cull anyway for that price.

I sent them an email about trying to get WLH as my 90% and was pleasantly surprised by the quick response and their response that they noted my request and let their vault know to try and fulfill my request.
Very respectful, courteous, and professional. I'm excited to see my order, thanks for the suggestion Indian. I'm sure I'll be getting my bullion from them from now on if I don't get it from the mints first.

You have the Internet, how could you find more coins in one spot?

Haha true but I want the experience of looking and conversing with a fun dealer that's maybe even a little kooky lol
I've made a couple purchases online at collectons.com have you ever made a purchase there? I've been happy with the quality and quantity of their offerings but they seem a bit expensive, not prohibitively though by any means and I usually stick to their sale items.

Quote: Haha true but I want the experience of looking and conversing with a fun dealer that's maybe even a little kooky lol Actually I've found it much more fun and a lot of savings to buy at a coin show. No postage, no lost in mail, no wrong coin sent, no insurances, no no return policy, etc. And at a coin show you can shop around, get to know dealers, ask questions, learn things you never knew. I've never been able to figure out why some areas have coin shows every week and other places have none at all.

Coin shows are by far the best place to buy. You can see what you are buying in hand and shop for the best price from many dealers. They just don't come around an area close to you that often.

Yes, the coin show I went to was tons of fun but I think it only comes once a year. There is another show that comes a couple times a year about 30 minutes away but haven't been able to find any details about it yet.
