Resale Value On Test Token Sets? - Coin Community Forum

kuh_85 Pillar of the Community Canada 2366 Posts	Posted 07/15/2012 5:05 pm Like anything else the mint sells, it will really depend. Think of it like IPOs on the stock market. Everybody hypes the heck out of it when it's issued but a year or two later, more end up trading below their IPO price than above. I highly recommend buying NCLT coins because you value them as art, for history etc. and not for 'investments'; particularly at issue price. Remember it has to go up at least 15% + inflation for you to make any money selling it later on ebay. You have better odds of picking a winner at the casino. The 1999 plated set has more than doubled in value but the 2004 poppy set is available close to issue price now. I did order the new set but don't really anticipate it appreciating much.
