Told my mom I started collecting coins again and she mentioned that I should look through the silver she's been saving up. Thought I did that years ago, but apparently there was a hidden hoard.

Most of it is Morgan and Peace dollars that my grandmother got in her corner store in the 30s and 40s. Lots of XFs and AUs. Only semi key so far is an 1893-O. May have an AU 1899 micro O, or it could be just a weak O.

Now all I need to do is figure out the value and cut my sister a check for half.

Don't tell your sister.
Believe me I'm a twin." boy/girl" or is it "girl/boy".
Nice collection.

wooooow what a sweet collection - unfortunately my grandfather (my he rest in peace) cashed everything in during the silver craze of 1980, he owned a little restaurant back in the 30s and 40s.

Interesting! What is the face value of that lot? Are they ALL 90%'ers?

@argentum

There are four 1887-O. One is XF.

@sel_69l

Of the Kennedy stacks, three are 65+, so the rest you see are all 90%. I don't know the value yet, but the majority are XF or better. It's 127 dollars and about 100 halves. I'm figuring at least $5,000.
