I apologize right away for the picture quality. I guess I need practice getting the lighting and focus right. I hope the picture is good enough for you to see this penny I got last week in change.

I'm new to this so anything you can tell me about this coin would help.

It seems, That I'm the only Night owl Coin hunter.
I Mainly only see replies in the morning or afternoon

I can stay up for 3 days just going through coins, I LOVE IT! Been at this for going on 3 weeks, I found over 100 errors, pennies, dimes, nickels and quarters.
Found over 200 wheats with around 10% of them with S mark.
Almost got a full box of 25$ of 1970-1979 rolls, sorted out... like 1 roll would be ALL 1970's I got 3 rolls of each date AT LEAST.
1960's ... 1960-1969 I have half a box full (about 1200 1960's) Found Pleanty of doves
for 1940's and 50's I have around 300.
+ FULL Cigarette Bucket of 1970's and lower VF+ pennies.
2 Indian Head Pennies, 1903 and 1907.
+ alot more haha

AND I'm STILL LEARNING! :) I cant wait to have Enough knowledge to get all the ones that should be saved. :)

It's amazing to be able to Find this many in 3 weeks compare to other coin hunters. in 3 weeks I have gone through a total of 80,000 Pennies, " 32 Boxes of 25$ "

And thats just pennies
You may think I'm  NUCKING FUTS But.. I consider this a Job, as I am having trouble obtaining my birth certificate and Cannot do anything without it so with this spare time, I chose to learn about coins :)
I love coin hunting, collecting and searching for varieties and errors

I didnt find an offcenter like this one before but I'm sure I will soon! :)

Awesome find LKH! I love seeing off-center strikes. They're probably my favorite error type.

Hope you have more great finds like this one!

Nice!

From a value standpoint, it is good that the complete date is visible.

What would error coins be worth? Is it roughly a couple of bucks across the board, or are there certain key dates that would be worth more/less?

Too be fair, it's not really noticable in a handful of change. Since I was sorting, I was able to catch it. What do errors got for?

Deepdark, what you have is most likely a misaligned die. If the reverse die is not "off" in the same direction and amount it is a misaligned die. In order to be an off-center both sides will be off in the same direction and part of the design will be missing. If both sides are off in the same direction but all of the design is on the coin it is either a misaligned die (if the collar is in place) or an uncentered broadstrike (If the collar is NOT in place)
