Just picked up a Reeded Edge Capped Bust half dollar for my 7070, and wanted to see what the CCF thinks about what PCGS says. Thanks as always! (sellers images)   |

I'll go XF-40 under the assumption that they cut these just a little bit of slack. Overall, a very appealing coin with a nice strong reverse strike resulting in my favorite part of this coin, the "50 CENTS" presenting itself quite prominently.
Nice pickup for that slot.

Whats going on at 11:00 on the rim?....cud? The strength of the strike may help this one. The reverse and also the stars on the obverse>>>

Not sure about the 11 o'clock "issue", it may be excess gasket material holding the coin?  No problems noted by PCGS. Edited by oih82w8

11:00 looks like a minor rim bump, over all Vf 25 to me.

VF-30, possibly 35. Don't think it makes XF.

VF-25 details as that 11 O'Clock issue looks like a rim bump that had an attempted repair. PCGS probably gave this a "genuine" holder.

VF. Nice pick up. I still need one of these for my 7070 & know they are hard to find at a reasonable price.

My grade is VF-25 (possibly a squeak into VF-30).  I don't personally think the rim ding is severe enough to get a details grade... |

I got this one at a good price, it was miscategorized under Silver Bullion.
I noticed that a "ball" was put on the top of the cap on the obverse and the "motto" was removed from the reverse from the previous Lettered Edge variety.
