hello, I have recently found a coin I am very interested in. he claims this is a 9.5/10.

Looks like a common, circulated sovereign. Don't know what he means about 9.5/10 but if he was referring to its condition, I'd say he's exagerating a lot.

In the British grading scheme that's probably a VF or VF+. If it's not a scarcer date it will only have a modest premium over melt value.

Soveriegns are quite a common coin considering they are gold and most of them are just worth their melt but this being a "bunhead" makes it slightly more desirable than the later coins.

Spink 2012 lists this in EF as £325. Less than EF is bullion value.

gold is very soft and the sovereign although worn is still pleasing.It would sell for £300 +
