Just wondering if you guys can tell me if this is a fake or not, I believe so with the edging the way it is but thought I would check   also any more info on it would be handy

 Looks like a bad copy to me. Do you have a magnet? (thanks for the welcome reminder amida17)

 lack of details and the rim point to modern reproduction.. BTW,  To CCF!

 ...............  amida17 I type too slow  ouch  spacing way off dobby1985 you are correct about the edge oih82w8 good place to start!  Some brass is slightly magnetic, some alloys of brass are not magnetic, ! Next try weight. Your coin looks too far off to be one of the super alloys.

Yep, although I have quite a few "copies" that are not magnetic.
Diamagnetic - won't be attracted to a magnet Paramagnetic - slight attraction Ferromagnetic - strong attraction

 No need for a scale or magnet. It's an obvious, and very poor, counterfeit.

There's a nice website on counterfeit draped bust dollars that includes this very culprit. Am I allowed to give the URL, though, or is that frowned upon?

There is a list of automatically-blocked websites - they're there because they have abused either CCF specifically or numismatics in general. If this happens to be one of them, no harm, no foul. Could have happened a while ago and you'd never know, but a website only spams us once.
