Nice coin Eng. But $130? Wow. Here is mine I paid $50 including the shipping. It's not from Nicomedia, but rather from Constantinople. Maybe that's the difference?

I wonder what it is about this Julian Bull type that makes it so popular with folks e.g. Emperor, Bull, overall design, rarity, size, metal?

Has it always been a popular coin? Do you think it was a popular coin in it's day, AD 360?

Were there some coin types that were just not popular back then, like our recent Susan B. Anthony dollar today?

Gratz Eng! Nice coin.

JW, you got a great deal. The CONS coins are normally still just as expensive. The price you got on yours is certainly the exception and not the norm. I would be more inclined to say "Wow" about the price you paid and not the other way around.

Thank you guys.. the info off the coin has this attributed as ric 411...when I went on wildwinds, it looks like ric 121, which is the same as yours......Plam branch NIKA..dot branch. most of these coins on WW sold for over $300 , Cons sold for over $400....not to say mine is a $300 coin...I feel I got a pretty good deal....

Doucet, I think the main attraction to this coin is the reverse type.
