Indeed a very nice coin . It is a very large shift. I could never understand why the shift exsists on part of the letters, and not on the very next letter?

Flat field doubling. Very common on the obverse of nickel dollars, both business strikes and proof-like strikes, from 1968 to 1971. Only a slight premium on value, in the higher grades.

Although not as common as the earlier years of the nickel dollar as detailed above by SPP, you can find Obverse F.F.D. on them through to 1977. Nice example on your coin, Domys.

Not really worth the cost of grading.... as SPP states, these nickel dollar coins with F.D.D. are fairly common.
