Well happened again...bought on the bay without searching. Just turned the computer on and did a search and I saw a 1oz old bar RCM sealed with 70 sec left on the auction. I thought to myself WHAT! I had no idea the RCM made 1oz bars. I tried to do a quick google search for authenticity and now here I am waiting for it to arrive. Paid too much for it I'm sure..... but it was just something I had to have! You guys get it right!? RIGHT!

I have bid on something in last couple minutes after late find, but be careful as often Murphy will kick you on the backside when you do something like that on the spur of the moment....

Either you spot the word "plated", or notice the seller has a 88% feedback after several hundred transactions, lol....

I am sure it will be another great addition, and be worth money spent in time....

Yeah, we get it :P

Sometimes there is a bit of buyers remorse in the short term...I have been known to go very overdrawn when I see something that I MUST have...but a few years down the line the pain is forgotten and the some of the star pieces in my collection I aquired like that.

I guess it depends whether you are trying to make money out of the hobby or simply enjoy collecting...I think I have excepted that I will never get rich off it and except for some gold bullion coins that I bought when gold was low (which I profited and sold when times got harder) I cant see myself ever parting with any of my items so even if I overpay a little it won't change my life that its worth less than it cost.

With ebay you always run the risk that what gets delivered may dissapoint...but I hope you will be pleased when it arrives.

RCM does 1oz gold and silver bars.
The silver bars carry a huge premium around 15$ over spot if you paid over that then you overpaid.

Sometimes it pays off, but through experience most times it doesn't. Made the mistake once buying an IHC at the last minute based soley off the description ("uncirculated...) and a fairly pixilated picture. Was sorely disappointed when the coin arrived. On E-Bay it pays to be diligent and to do your homework before buying.

Yup, had just unloaded a couple bars a few weeks back and got $39 a piece for them on the bay. They don't make them anymore obviously, they ended their production in the 80's.

nice buy, the 1oz RCM bars can go for quite the premium.

The bar is authentic with a clear discription of what I am getting from a reputable seller with 1000's of feedback...all 100%. Upon looking into it further, the bar will be legit. I just bought it fast because I've never seen or heared about a bar like this from the RCM. Didnt wanna miss out on something that I really liked and not be able to find again. Turns out I did pay too much and you can find them out there. There is a nice premuim with them for sure but I still paid too much. :-( Another lesson learned and am even more educated now. 1 inflated purchase out of dozens and dozens isn't so bad. But at least now I think after I get this bar, I may start to collect a few more of them. I have been trying really hard to just pick up at the best price possible, but find it hard when something like this comes up and makes you think that you may want to have more of them inspite them carrying a $15 premium. We will see. At least now I can look harder and try and find the best deal. Cheers!

Sam don't sweat it. If you get excited by finding and buying what you want, go for it. I could be literally years before any REAL profits can be gotten out of silver...or not.

Just remember that some of us DONT have an RCM bar and really would like 1 oz! Cheers on the purchase Sam.

We've all been there, Sam. Like Hawk said, I once missed the word, "clad" when I made an apparent silver buy on ebay a few years ago. I saw it almost immediately afterward and asked the seller if I could pass on the sale and offered to pay the listing fees. He kindly consented and I never made that mistake again.
