Hey Guys, Picked these up the other day after going through my deceased uncles place, and was wondering if any one is able to help ID them. When I found them they were in a box with silver bullion bars which were all in english, these were the only two which were not. So I'm guessing that they are silver, but any help would be highly appreciated. They are two separate bars both weighing in at 135g exact Back of the dragon one Back of the goat one

I've seen something like those selling on ebay. Chinese made Lunar "silver" bars. I was always leery of them since you can't really trust PM's coming from there unless it's directly from the mint, itself. I love the artwork but I can't comment on its authenticity.

Neat collector set but like Amida17 said not silver. Very deceiving Chinese products, lol. Shocker I know that they would do that. You know how you can always tell if something is fake on ebay, BIDS real simple. If one item is getting many bids, often times there is a solid chance someone knows what it is and that is indeed what its suppose to be. But no guarantees on that either as it could just be like five novice bidders bidding away as well.... When you see them end at like 15 bucks and no bids, little chance to zero they are real.... Speaking of China's manufacturing of EVERYTHING on Earth, well I found one thing they don't make.... Anybody see that story where the flight from like Beijing to New York perhaps got delayed for like 3 days and the passengers attempted to form a revolt and take over the airport, lol. After two days of delays due to repairs they got on the plane, but then decided the pilots were over worked and the flight was delayed another day and many refused to leave the plane, unbelievable. Or is it? I DREAD flying and hate air buses. Flying germ pits, ready to spread the next big virus which surfaces next.... Anyhow, the flight was originally delayed because they were waiting on parts that were late coming in from the USA. WHAT, did I type that right, now that is the definition of irony, rof ....

the Chinese characters on either side of the wheel say pure silver. I never seen chinese gold and silver stamped with 'pure silver' or 'pure gold' before - it's usually just a number (999, 925 etc) from my experience.

It would be interesting to get a good weight and volume measurement so you can calculate the density of these bars. Silver should be about 10.5.

Would it be best to take to a dealer then or is there anything I can do? Don't really collect silver bullion so not sure what I'm doing.

There lies the biggest clue that tells me it's fake. The forger put the decimal point in the wrong place.
