The $5000 was only part of his settlement. He gave up 2 houses
and some other inventory plus an amount that is unknown to me. Whatever was paid he was $5000 short. I am more than sure that 2 sets of books were involved and at the time many people walked in to sell what they had...not sure if this was for rough times or what. I am sure he made money in many ways. Coin and stamp shows were his best loves...then came all of these card issues. I call them issues because I also had quite a few card..Hockey..baseball..basketball...football items.Almost can't give those away now. Never liked cards so no big deal...KGG

My suggestion is to try to find out what those are worth by checking out price listings such as Numismedia or the many other price guides. Then if you feel it necessary to have them graded and slabbed, attempt to use the more popular TPGS's as already noted. PCGS and NGC are considered the tops. However, if you went to Google and typed in coin grading services you would find possibly close to 100 of them. Many are people in their basement trying to create a new buisness though so may not be the best choice.
And remember, that regardless of where you send coins for grading and slabbing, it will cost you. So if your coins are not worth a real lot, might be best to leave well enough alone.

KGG - do you have ANY way of taking ANY pictures at all? Even if you have to email them to a forum member to post, we are here to help.

Do you have a cell phone that takes pictures? You could even text one of us and we can upload it for you. Or take a picture with a web camera and email it to one of us.

If it were me, I'd probably crack them out and send to ANACS.

Thank you for your comments. Once I got a feel for what I should do..based on feedback. I will send to ANACS.
These coins are in Capitol Holders with seals on the Capitol holders. Zero information on Capitol Holders. On the boxes several pieces of information. Going to send to ANACS without the boxes. The only 2 I have like this in Capitol Holders and have had these coins and many others for over 25 years. Brought these out and wanted some clue on what to do....
You folks have helped steer me in the direction to take.
Now to find out if these are really MS-65's KKG

Faulty thought pattern..my apology.
Have cell phone that I am told does many things including pictures. Being a dinosaur I know nothing about that and am well aware that if I did know something about that it would be a flash and information would be ancient history. Been collecting coins for over 50 years. Have 3 safes...organized them and came upon these 2 coins and 1 other. When I get these 2 straightened out will try the last one. Maybe send all 3 in at same time. Third one is very very different but also a silver dollar...not junk but not a well known NGC...PCGS...ANACS type company. Thank you KKG

If the third one is in an actual grader slab with a label and grade break it out first. If youre going to send it Id send it all at once, save on the shipping that way and if theres any handling fees per order.

Where have you been buying your coins? Hopefully it wasn't from the people selling coins on the TV shopping channels. There must be at least one coin dealer you know and trust so why don't you take the dollars to him/them and ask for his/their opinion(s)?

Do not have a coin dealer that fits into that "trust" pattern now. Not because of them..because I do not buy from one that I know. Plus only 1 dealer within 50 miles of where I live...
that I am aware of. Most purchase of coins were in years of 1970 to 1983 or so. No coins from TV. Have bought some coins from a jewelry dealer that has some coins on the side in his store...but very little over past 20 years or so. Been distracted....do almost everything in trailer locks now.
Design to manufacture...and chase U.S. Patents on these.... then offer them for sale....everywhere. Not good at computers so a tough job. Finding a good SEO.....very difficult in very small community and I have to be face to face so I know "they"
understand what I mean and expensive. KGG
