today got 3 interesting notes. Can you guys help me understand their value ?

1. South Africa 5 Pounds 1928 (aVF)
2. South Africa 5 Pounds 1929 (VF)
3. Guinea 10000 Francs 1958 (G)

South Africa used the Pounds/Shillings until 1961 when they changed to Rand/Cents.

Krause has the following values:
5 Pounds 2.4.1928 (P#85) VG 200 VF 500 UNC 1100
5 Pounds 2.9.1929 (P#86a) VG 200 VF 400 UNC 700
The signature on the 1928 is wrongly ascribed in the catalog!

The Guinea note:
10000 Francs 2.10.1958 VG 125 VF 475

Values are in US$ but the catalog may not be the most accurate guide to current prices. Try and find comparable notes for sale on the internet.

nice pick up. those SA notes are a tough find in any condition. They are very desirable. I have a couple of the 1 pound notes in that series, The 5 pound is a little out of my budget right now, unfortunately.
