Excellent toning, but I do notice some of that toning has rubbed off one or two high points in the design, especially on the ferrules and heads of the maces, and the shell at the top of the design.
Fields look unmarked, but that is common on high grade examples of this design. Rims unmarked. This coin is a full three stepper in front of Parliament House.
I would like to see the obverse, especially the King's beard.
What is the estimate?

Quote: $8-10k is my guess. Wow I had no idea that coins in this grade can command that sort of money. Going on the pic of the reverse this one would have to grade as choice UNC or MS 64-65. If the obverse is as good, I can see it going to $400- $450 at most.

Im fair sure thats a proof? Its struck so perfectly.
I saw a proof like this that had similar blue toning in CAB a while ago and remember it going for some large sum of money.
I might be wrong in which case i'll revise my guess to $500. Thats what id be happy to pay for the toning and grade.

I may be wrong but as far as I am aware the proofs were not a super strong strike and didn't have the full 3 steps.

It's a proof florin. It'll most likely go for a lot more than the estimate unless there's something wrong with it that they haven't disclosed in the listing. I am pretty sure Andrew Crellin sold a PR67 for $40,000 plus not too long ago.

We'll see how it goes. It has an estimate of 6k I think, but I'm sure it will go for more... I'd pay 6k in a heart beat..

I had the opportunity of viewing gem Unc '27 PH next to a proof '2 PH at an auction view with I.S Wright recently. The gem Unc. had more detail in the area of the steps on the rev., and the beard on the obv. was a little better defined on the Unc.
