All the 07 Wyoming quarters I have gotten seem to have the horse and rider seem to be worn flat w/o detail. The rest looks like new. Is this the way they were minted? I have never seen one with detail. Gary

It's the worst State Quarter design out there, if you ask me.

Even the proof has no detail. It a shame they didn't give it any - it's basically just a silhouette of the horse & rider.

Designed by a mud-flap manufacturer.

The Bucking Horse and Rider silhouette is Wyoming's most iconic symbol and is a registered trademark of the State of Wyoming. It may not have much artistic merit but it is a true representative of Wyoming.

Agreed its not so much the symbol more how it was done. Theyre had to be a better way they could portray the reverse. Even if they just put the state outline behind it it would have looked much better

Isn't Wyoming just a rectangle?

Yea but itd give something other than that entirely blank background. Coins just to open it seems. Or they should have enlarged the symbol and centered it. Its just weird being small and off center with really nothing else
Rest in Peace

Worst State Quarter was Florida, IMHO. No design whatsoever - just an assemblage of off-sized, unrelated objects. My apologies to the third-grade class that put it together.

Wyoming's design is disappointing, I'll agree. The state symbol is perfect, but not as a flat silhouette.

But what do I know? Instead of my design for the Kansas quarter, they chose an ugly bison instead ...

Well, I agree with florida being the worst State Quarter, but I actually like the wyoming quarter design.

Darn, I was hoping it was a type of error and make it worth more. But not that lucky. I think that the state liscence plates have the same design or did.
