This morning I saw a specialist here in Montreal and he told me it was not sure if it real coins. I'm now to the step of grading it. I will let you know when it's done.
I suspect it's some kind of counterfeit strike on a white metal planchet. It suffered some damage later on. Note the rough and poorly defined letters of LIBERTY, the interrupted D of UNITED and the abnormally shallow relief of the right oak leaf. Too many red flags for comfort.
