so I recently started collecting wheat cents and I for the life of me cannot figure out what year this coin is and I was hoping you all could be of some assistance

The coin was damaged from a Coin Wrapping Machine. The damaged area is parallel to the rim of the coin when this happens. It the damage is in a different direction, then it is coin contact. You have a damaged coin.

When taking pics or scans try to orient the coin so it is not side ways
Just makes it easier to help identify errors/varieties etc..
