Hello. Does this look to be a clip that escaped the machine before the finale or PMD? It looks like it was starting to happen on the opposite side of the coin as well. If legitimate any value greater than 5 cents?

I may be mistaken, but I thought clips happen before the coin is pressed, when the planchets are punched out of the roll of flat metal. If that's correct then this must be PMD.

Yeah its PMD. If it were an incomplete clip, that mark would be on the obverse and reverse. Any marks that you see on the opposite side of this coin is damage. In addition, the mark on your coin overlaps details that have already been struck which would not be possible since planchets are cut before the coins are struck.
