Hi, I'm new to British Coins. I picked this one up because I noticed what looked like some nice errors. On the Obverse the second T in BRITT is slightly rotated and the R in BRITT has a slight doubling in the front tail. There is also a missing dot in the colon between D:G: which I guess is just a Grease Fill or something. Thank you for taking the time to have a look, any info is appreciated. Oh, and there is a greasy finger print toning to the coin, do you think acetone would get rid of it?

I don't know whether these are known varieties.

However, I suggest you get hold of

Varieties of British bronze coins of this period abound.
C. Wilson Peck did a good job of documenting most of them. I suspect each working die was treated individually.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll try to pick up a book by one of those authors.

I already looked in Peck and these varieties are not mentioned.
