Being an amateur about coins, I am having some problems in deciding
what the grade/value of this 1953 Canada half Dollar Large Date NSF coin should be. It looks uncirculated with it's mirror finish. But I have doubts because above the word Canada are three maple leaves. The middle one and part of the left one appear worn down from circulation. But the areas around these leaves don't appear to be worn down. Possibly a minting error? I learned some call this the Ozz/Ozzy coin.
So if you'd like to evaluate this coin for value and grade I would appreciate it greatly.

Nice coin!
Your coin does not appear to be the OZZY variety

It's not wear it's a weak strike, too much design to fill on both sides especially in high relief.
Appears at first glance to be small date,I'll have to have a better look on my computer later.

I believe the Rev. shows shelf wear on both the Unicorn and Lion's legs. Best I could give is a 55, but could just be a shadow. Still a very nice coin.

It isn't a small date. The hoof isn't connecting with the 3 and the I
in DEI is shaped like a column, flaring out at the top and bottom,
not straight up and down as with a small date.
I believe the coin is near uncirculated myself. But I don't do grades
and thus don't know a value.
Thanks for the opinions though :)

It is a small date.
Though it's worth bullion value,it's still a nice coin.

Why wouldn't a coin in this grade be worth more than bullion value?

My bad, you guys are correct. Do I feel sheepish lol. It is a small date. I was looking at the right information but confusing it with the wrong picture on the CoinsandCanada site. NSF with hoof not touching 3 is a small date.
With that settled, care to wager a grade? :)

Hard to tell from the pictures... my guess AU with a weak reverse. They are pretty easy to acquire in this grade.
