I bought this 1976 penny for 5 cents at a flea market and brought it to three local coin dealers to see what they thought. They all told me it was the most extreme lamination peel they have ever seen especially while still having the peel connected to it. They couldnt really put a value on it though. Can someone give me some details? Value?

Umm yeah, that is a big honkin' flapper It can be a bit difficult to assign value to some unusual errors but IMO, $10-20 would not be out of line. Someone might be willing to pay more than that as well. For comparison, this [eBayItem]190705556323[/eBayItem] is a smaller lamination peel on a silver quarter, it sold for $12. I have a hard time getting excited over a lamination since they tend to be fairly common on a small scale but that example is one that I would love to have in my own collection and the value range I gave is what I would be willing to pay for a similar coin. Thanks for sharing

If its real it would be a cool find but some people glue those on as fakes you might wanna take a few more pics and try to make the pics bigger

Just finished educating myself on these types of errors. And I must say, WOW. That is HUGE! I think you did real good for a five cent purchase. It would be a keeper for me. I like anything odd or unusual.

BTW, you are a new face. So WELCOME!
