I am going through a large collection of inherited coins. I have an Indian/Buffalo coin with an oddity in the buffalo. There is a reverse word circling the head of the buffalo.

Thank you for the quick reply..... I have so many coins to sort and have no idea how to spot double dies, even some of the date over date, double mints etc. right now I set aside any errors that I find listed on several sites and will worry about further research until I finish. Sure has been fun! My family just likes to hold an 1800's coin just thinking who may have held before them

Yup...vise job...if the words are reverse and backwards they were Post Mint....if they are raised and you can read them properly...then...you MAY have found something. Good Luck
