Thanks, I'm going to post a lot of the error and special coins I have found over the last year just to see if I'm
on track. I metal detect and yesterday found a 1916 merc in great condition but it was the S not the D. Had to sit down before I turned it over.

I assume you know that both coins you showed are in fact 1960-D LMC?

Nice finds ... but approximately 1 in 4 1960-D LMC is a small date.

The 1960 Philly mint small date is the tough coin.

Looking forward to seeing a photo of your 1916-S Mercury dime.
