Hi everyone,
Thought I was posting in '65 Days of Coppers'
I recovered this lead DB weighing 18 grams.
It's purpose or who it was intended to fool is a mystery.
maybe included in a bag of cents to be valued by weight?
Anyway, it is my most interesting Draped Bust.
this site has given up 8 period cft coins and one detailed impression on a lead plate, the first step in making a lost wax casting, apparently they were busy.
thanks for looking, Herbie.
