Just received a stack of 25 Series 1935 $1 Silver Certificates in AU condition. As always, I checked the serial numbers and found the following number:

P 12102121 G

If only that 0 weren't there (or the 2 next to it were another 0)!

In other news, I also noticed that two of the bills in the stack had sequential serial numbers. I know that doesn't mean anything with new bills, since anybody can go to the bank and order a stack of sequential bills, but does it add any premium whatsoever to bills this old?

Thanks!
Rest in Peace

That serial number is a heart-breaker.

I keep reading that the sequential serial numbers don't add any premium but I kind of think it depends. If you find the right buyer I suppose it could add some extra value to the pair.

I have seen the same ( ebay), sequential numbers would usually bring higher figures if broken up. But there is always the exception to the rule. There, I a pretty much covered it.

Got any pictures to show off of the better bills? Do you have any of the better series A, B, C, D, etc...?

(not sure how reliable wikipedia is on this subject, but...)

Here's a picture of the three notes in in question. Nothing terribly interesting other than the serial numbers, I'm afraid, as these series were apparently printed in the billions:
