Hey so I don't know much about coins but want to know more... I looked up the new toonie I got on the Canadian mint but it has the bt bellow and to the right of the polar bear and I'm not sure what it means... Because they didn't show that in the picture of the one on the mint site... Sorry for the lame question and being a newbie!

I also have a Newfoundland 1917 25 cent piece... And a 1887 Canadian one cent piece. Not sure about them either. I acquired these from a great uncle and they came in a little silver Montreal city and district savings bank with the key.

Oh! Thanks! Does it mean something to have it on a coin? Because some have it and some don't?

You mean some of the 2012 new toonies have no BT on the reverse? Interesting. Do you have pics for us?

On the back? They are supposed to be where the Queen is? Cause this one is on the front with the polar bear.
