1853 Gold Dollar Fake? Or Real - Coin Community Forum

It looks a lot like those that came out of Lebanon in the 1960's and 70's. Very mushy detail and a surface that looks like it was cast. Report this Post to the Staff

It needs to be accurately weighed and measured for thickness and diameter to give a good clue as to how pure the gold may be, or if it is just gold plated. Report this Post to the Staff
