ha ha I seen that this morning, I questioned it too, but realised its just a crappy coin, with a crappy pic. I would still bid on it if it goes less than $10, if it is a forgery it would still be neat at a cheap price. (but that wont happen) I expect to see it hit $30 easy.

Fake. GUARANTEED CAST. I had two at one stage & gave one to my wifes grandmother (who was born in 1937). I wrote up a nice little letter about counterfeiters back in the day. I brought mine more than five years ago. They went into my cast, Manders and Twible, date-altered & preferabally non-Chinese copy collection.

Yep, it's a cast fake. The "die crack" looks more like a crack in the coin itself, caused by uneven cooling in the casting mould.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Has anyone pointed this out to the seller? They have a fairly high number of 100% positive feedback and say they offer a guarantee that coins are genuine.

appleangel07Here is a 2004 fake toonie I had in my collection...Look at the (bubbly) lettering and compare it with the one on ebay and you will see it is a cast fake for sure.

The "die crack" doesn't go through the "M".

I used to do this, but after you get abused & just completely ignored on the majority of your messages you soon realise it is a waste of your time,so I don't bother anymore. Can everybody please report this item ? I did lastnight.

I put a cheap bid on it just because id like it as a fake. I doubt I will win at $10.00 but if I do I'm happy to fork out. Chances are people wont realise and it will go for standard 1937 crown price.

That is a very very crude attempt at a fake.
