fyi...
do not plan to get any 2012 new rolls of coins, like penny, nickles, dimes on tour/at gift shop, they just have same coins as on-line, but you save ship cost!
Only got some new 2012 Chaco Culture quarters in change at gift shop.

Went through the revamped tour, with the interactive kiosks explaining the various machines in operation. Still difficult to see actual coins being minted. Interesting that the tour started with a discussion of the creation of the 2011 Gettysburg quarter, then part of the way through the hubs and dies suddenly changed to a park in "Carolina North" called "Nonsense" with a date of "0012" with a Martha Washington obverse. The "handbook" booklet given at the start of the tour is informative and a keeper for anyone that collects US coins. The gift shop was the only disappointing part of the upgrade. They have everything in the online catalogue except the 5oz. ATB pucks for sale. It's understandable that the dollar exchange machine is gone, but so is the ATB Quarter exchange machine.
