My wife and I started a project last month. We got 3 7070 danscos and I need opinions on my idea for filling them. First off we have agreed no coin below XF/AU in the books. The first good will be for 1st year issues, 2nd book will be last year issues and 3rd will be for any year issue but no coin lower than AU with emphasis on high grade common year coins. Any additional info or strategies will be greatly appreciated.

That last issue Trade dollar may be unattainable at a total of five minted.

I love the idea, but I would lower my standards for the First Issue album. I would consider doing these in G4-F12 instead, but if you are able to afford EF-AU, that will be a heck of a collection!

You should start now by selling your house, cars, all your clothing, etc. Now you should have enough to get started on a really great all MS graded collection.

I like the idea a lot and do think that would be cool, however like others have mentioned youre talking about some serious serious money. If you can do that more power to you. Personally I would never put some of those coins in an album and would keep them slabbed with values like that.

I was actually looking to buy all raw instead of breaking slabs. I've hopefully got many years to do this so pricing isn't going to bother me to much although I may need to opt for the g-vf on a couple like another mentioned.

Understandable, again just my personal preference but I am not comfortable buying raw coins worth thousands of dollars.

As others have mention, this can run into big money. I would love to see progression pics.
