So I just got this one out of a junk box today, and I think that it may be a Mughal dam. Any thoughts? Can anyone confirm this or even be able to determine the emperor based upon the remaining detail? Thanks!

I love attributing these.
I buy 'em out of junk boxes. If it takes by whatever means, takes me years to identify, so be it.

I would start by comparing pictures in Krause catalogs 1600 - 1900.
Lots of time and patience required, with not much reward, other than fun.
Could be from Pakistan, Iran, Afganistan or India.

Most probably, the coin itself would be worth a dollar or so, in this condition.
