I was wondering what the collective noun would be for coin fanatics such as those who would read this? A mint of collectors? A noodle of collectors? A Cud of collectors?

A coin collector is often called a "numismatist."
Coin collectors are referred to as Numismatists, and the study of coins is also called Numismatics.

Thanks for this topic, I like the thought process. An issue of collectors? A cast of collectors? A number of 'numismaticocologists'?

I believe that the collective noun for experts is "battery" hence: "a battery of numismatists." :-)
