It's probably nothing, but I have no clue when it comes to banknotes (especially from the US). But it looks to me as if the bottom part is smaller than the top !

The boarders are different. You are not seeing things. You will find this to be very common.

Were you thinking this was an error? It is a very (and I mean VERY) minor shift. Off center hurts the grade of a note and lowers the value (assuming it had any value to start with). In this instance it wouldn't hurt the grade too bad, less than the overall condition with all the wear and folds that is. That's assuming of course that it was collectible in some way, which it's not.

It isn't until the design is off the edge of a note that it becomes an error and no longer hurts the grade.

Among stamp collectors the terminology is "well centered" which is better
than stamps which are not well centered.
Your note is not well-centered.
The reverse has better, but not perfect, centering.
And hey, Kingz, better to ask and to learn than to remain wondering.
Tot ziens!

Thanks guys for all the reply's, and I do understand it has no more value then 1 dollar. But as Matthew pointed out I rather know than remain in doubt. And I see Matthew himself takes that too heart as he obviously has learned something as well (saying goodbye in Dutch)
